On 22 October 2021, the V4 Higher Education Summit was held at the Széchenyi István University in Győr, where the representatives of the V4 countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Automatic Mutual Recognition of Qualifications Concerning Higher Education for the Purpose of Further Learning.
The Memorandum was signed by Prof. Dr. László Palkovics, Minister for Innovation and Technology (Hungary), Mr. Marek Moška, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation and European Affairs (Slovakia), Tibor Bial, MBA, Ambassador (Czech Republic), Prof. Włodzimierz Bernacki, State Secretary for Education (Poland).

Learning about each other's higher education institutions, sharing experiences on automatic recognition and exploring opportunities for cooperation can bring the V4 closer together in the field of higher education as well. The declaration allows for greater access to the higher education systems of the Visegrad countries and guarantees the simplification of recognition procedures, improves the mobility of higher education qualifications in the V4 countries, thus minimising administrative and recognition difficulties. It also contributes to the development of the European Higher Education Area, facilitating student mobility and encouraging young people to gain a broader international experience.
