The Hungarian Defence Forces Territorial Defence and Support Command (HDF TDSC) organized a V4 Territorial Commanders’ Conference in an online format on 30 March 2022. During the conference, the participating sides presented their territorial defence systems, and outlined the types of tasks in which they use or plan to use their territorial forces in the future.
The event – which fits into the program schedule of the Hungarian V4 Presidency – was opened by MoD Deputy State Secretary for Defence Policy Dr. Gergely Németh, who underlined the importance of regional cooperation. The representatives of the partner countries agreed that the current, dynamically changing security policy situation necessitates the further development of territorial defence capabilities and cooperation on a regional level.
The next meeting in this format will be organised by the upcoming Slovak Presidency.
