On 7 October 2021 the leaders of the higher education quality assurance agencies of the four Visegrád countries signed a Memorandum establishing the Visegrad Four Quality Assurance Forum (V4QA Forum) in Budapest.

Established by the Hungarian MAB (Magyar Felsőoktatási Akkreditációs Bizottság), the Czech NAB (Národní akreditační úřad pro vysoké školstvi), the Polish PKA  (Polska Komisja Akredytacyjna) and the Slovak SAAVS (Slovenská akreditačná agentúra pre vysoké školstvo) at a meeting of higher education experts linked to the events of the Hungarian V4 Presidency, the forum aims at providing a regular exchange of experiences in QA, facilitate the development of an international network of experts, and initiate staff exchange of the participating agencies.

The four organisations agreed to formulate policy proposals for the 2022 Czech EU Presidency on issues within their professional competence and competence areas for the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

The Forum will continue to rotate according to the Visegrad Cooperation Presidency model, so that in 2022 the Slovak SAAVS will take over the coordination tasks. The V4QA Forum is open to wider international collaborations and projects as set in the V4QAF Memorandum.
