On September 17, the Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrad Group (V4) organized the 6th V4+Republic of Korea Political Directors’ consultation. The two sides exchanged views on ways to promote cooperation between the V4 countries and the Republic of Korea. 

The meeting was attended by Mr. Yeo Seung-bae, Deputy Foreign Minister leading the Korean delegation, and the political directors of the V4 countries: Mr. István Balogh from Hungary, Mr. David Konecky from the Czech Republic, Mr. Cyril Kozachewski from Poland and Mr. Michal Pavuk from Slovakia.

The Parties established that cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the V4 is steadily developing in a number of areas. They discussed the current situation in Afghanistan and its wider implications, exchanged views on EU-Republic of Korea relations and a number of global and regional issues, such as the situation in the Korean Peninsula. They agreed that the meeting served as a good opportunity to deepen relations between the V4 and the Republic of Korea.
