On the occasion of Hungary’s V4 Presidency, the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) organized a roundtable discussion entitled “Perspectives of Regional Cooperation in the View of Economic Reopening” with the participation of chamber leaders of the V4 and the Western Balkans on 3 November 2021 in Budapest. The chamber presidents shared their opinions and experiences on four main topics: an overview of the economic situation of their respective country, the challenges posed by the epidemic in digitalisation, logistics, the sustainable economy and energy policy, the role of chambers of commerce in relaunching the economy, the opportunities for economic cooperation between the V4 and the Western Balkans.

The event ended with the signature of a joint statement in English by Dr. László Parragh, President of HCCI, on behalf of the Visegrad Cooperation and on behalf of the Chambers of the Western Balkans, Ahmet Egrlić, President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The objective of the declaration is to confirm the V4 and WB6 CIF Chambers’ common desire to cooperate and contribute to the improvement of the business and investment climate and development of the private sector in the Visegrad Group countries and the Western Balkans region.
