As part of the official programme of the Hungarian V4 Presidency, the Ministry of Human Capacities of Hungary hosted a conference on the employment of people with disabilities entitled "You Are Value" for the second time this year. Representatives of the governments of the V4 countries joined the event live online, sharing their countries' experiences on the issue. On the initiative of the Hungarian Minister of Human Capacities, Miklós Kásler the V4 countries signed a joint declaration to strengthen community-based services for people with disabilities.

In his video message, Miklós Kásler stressed that since 2010 the government of Hungary has given priority to the social situation of people with disabilities and their role in the labour market. The minister highlighted that, thanks to economic growth, their employment rate has risen from 18% in 2010 to 44% today, with around 160,000 people working currently. This year, the Hungarian state is providing around HUF 50 billion for the employment of people with disabilities, which means that almost 33,000 people with disabilities are working at 1,100 workplaces for 411 accredited employers.

In addition to the Hungarian Minister, the event was attended by Pawel Wdówik, Polish Deputy Minister for Family Affairs, Marian Jurecka, Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, and Boris Azaltovic, Slovakian State Secretary for Labour, Social Affairs and Family. Alongside government officials, representatives from national and international companies, NGO leaders, church leaders and public figures shared their views and experiences.
