V4 Chiefs of Defence met in Debrecen to discuss the war in Ukraine, identified emerging threats in the security environment and possible responses. The Commander of the Hungarian Defense Forces reaffirmed that the V4 nations are seeking to strengthen their cooperation, enabling common European solutions and the resilience, security and stability of the Central European region and Europe.

A V4+Austria, Slovenia online meeting of the Automatic Information Exchange Working Group was hosted by the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary. Participants exchanged experiences on tax authorities’ controls in the field of compliance with the Common Reporting Standards (CRS) and the EU Directive on administrative cooperation in the field of taxation (DAC) for the automatic exchange of financial account information.

Supported by the Visegrad Fund, the spring semester of the V4 Startup Force mentoring program was concluded in Budapest. Out of 81 applicants, 17 participated in a V4 Virtual Bootcamp, and four very promising startups, BeiT (CZ), B-LOCK (HU), Ecobean (PL) and Try the colors (SK) made it to the final part of the program.

The second meeting of V4 Capability Directors was held in Budapest. The meeting’s objective was to discuss the matters of common interest of the V4 national Capability Directors as well as to present the results of the capability development program of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

V4 Space Policy officials met in Budapest to discuss national and global developments related to the space sector, as well as the deepening of V4 cooperation in ths field.
