V4 PMs sign MoU on enhancing space cooperation

The Heads of Government of the Visegrad countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen co-operation in the field of space research and the peaceful use of outer space. Based on the Prime Ministers’ agreement, the V4 states will share experience, foster academic, scientific and industry cooperation in space related research, development & innovation, and examine the feasibility of launching joint space projects.
V4+France Summit in Budapest
13 December 2021
President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron paid a visit to Budapest and took part at the V4+France Summit meeting. The leaders stressed the importance of dialogue just weeks before France takes over the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU (from 1 January) and, accordingly, discusssed important Europen issues.
Videoconference of the V4 Economic Parliamentary Committees
10 December 2021
Organised by the Hungarian National Assembly under the Hungarian V4 Presidency, a videoconference of the Committees on Economics of the National Parliaments of the Visegrad Countries was held on 10 December 2021. The topics for discussion during the conference included “hydrogen-based economy, energy security and reduction and sustaining of low energy costs” and “the tax system and the reduction of contributions on wages in light of competitiveness”. At the end of the online meeting, V4 representatives adopted a joint statement.
V4 expert meeting on the role of hydrogen

In the framework of the Hungarian V4 Presidency the V4 Energy Think Tank Platform and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Hungary organised an online expert meeting on 8 December entitled "The role of Hydrogen in the Decarbonisation Pathways in the Visegrad Region" with a focus on the latest H2-related developments in the V4 countries.
V4+Morocco Foreign Ministers meet for the 1st time

The Hungarian Presidency of the Visegrad Group hosted the first V4+Morocco Foreign Ministers' summit in Budapest on 7 December. At the meeting ministers discussed Morocco's role in addressing regional challenges in the MENA region and Sahel, consequently, the fight against illegal migration, terrorism and organized crime. Morocco's relations with the EU and the V4 were also on the agenda.
