Meeting of V4 Finance Ministers in Budapest

V4 Ministers of Finance met for the first time under the 2021/2022 Hungarian Presidency in Budapest. On the margins of the meeting, Mihály Varga and his Czech, Slovakian and Polish counterparts – Alena Schillerová, Igor Matovič and Tadeusz Kościński – signed a joint declaration on the re-launch of the V4 economies, including fiscal policies, cooperation in combating tax fraud and the support of families.
V4 High-Speed Railway Working Group meeting

The V4 high-speed railway working group held its first session during the V4 Hungarian Presidency on September 29 in Budapest, hosted by Péter Kiss-Parciu, deputy state secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade as the head of the Hungarian delegation. During the meeting, the delegations shared information on the status of the V4 high-speed railway project development in their respective countries, and also designated the direction of the future common steps, especially in relation to financing.
V4 Speakers of the Parliaments meet in Visegrad

On 23 September 2021, an official meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of the Visegrad Group was held at the Royal Palace in Visegrad. For the second time during the Hungarian V4 Presidency, the leaders of the parliaments of the V4 visited Hungary at the invitation of László Kövér, Speaker of the National Assembly.
V4+ Pension Seminar held in Budapest

The Hungarian State Treasury organized a hybrid conference on "Physical and Human Capital in an Ageing Society" in Budapest, with a V4 session focusing on the Visegrad countries’ digitalisation strategies and the prospects of the pension systems. In addition to the Visegrad countries, the event was attended by speakers and guests from Italy, Spain, Finland, Serbia, Austria, Russia and Argentina.
Civitas Sapiens ’21 Smart City Conference + V4 Summit

Organized by the Digital Success Programme, the Civitas Sapiens ’21 Smart City Conference + V4 Summit was a highlighted event of the Hungarian Presidency. The conference offered an excellent opportunity for the V4 countries to present their good practices from the public administration and the market sectors as well.
